Phonics Fluency Poems

This packet of phonics poems for CVC and short vowel words are a useful tool for guided reading and fluency practice. The poems are organized by word family. The passages are perfect to use to develop fluency, phonics skills, vocabulary and sight word knowledge. Digital versions for both Seesaw and Google Slides are included.

Each of the passages include decodable words and common sight words.

There are poems included for the following word families:

Short A: (–at, -ap, -an, -ad, -ag, -am, -ab)
Short E: (-ed, -en, -et, -eg)
Short I: (-id, -ig, -in, -ip, -it)
Short O: (-ob, -og, -op, -ot)
Short U: (-ug, -un, -ut, -ub, -um)

These poems are provided in 3 different formats:

1. Full Page – Use these as they are or create a binder folder out of them.

2. Half Page Version – Laminate and use a binder ring to create a flip book. Alternatively, print individual books for students.

3. Digital Version – Both a SeeSaw and Google Slides version is included.
